i almost threw up at school three times today! 

1. we had to watch a vid where a bunch of dung beetles living in bat poop ate a banana slug

2. my friend had a nose bleed

3 somebody poured rotton milk in the locker above mine and some dripped down… ewwwww my school is gross

and yes i throw up at the sight of blood, kinda sucks but o well wut u gonna do about it

he brisk air whirled around me as the mysterious shadow wobbled nearer and nearer. I tried to scream, but I could barely utter a sound. All I could do was stand in the haunting shadows of the pine trees. Crunch, crunch. I whirled around, my heart pounding. “Nothing, there’s nothing to be afraid of,” I said to myself. Crunch, crunch, creeeeek. I looked back. Suddenly, blinding lightning scarred the earth. During the few seconds of the flash, a long piece of metal shone in the light. Scrrratch! Something hit my right leg, making me fall to the leaf covered ground. I felt wetness on my thigh. I brought my fingers down to where I’d felt the odd liquid. I smelled it. Blood. But who could’ve done it? My thought was cut short when I heard an ear-piercing scream. The cry lasted about five seconds. I heard footsteps. Running, I headed deeper into the woods. SMACK! I fell to the ground. All I could feel was the blood trickling down my face and into my mouth. My eyelids were closing from the pain when I saw the shadow come over my body like a solar eclipse. The blob put a dirty bag over my head. The last thing I remember is being lifted from the ground, and thrown into a trunk. After that, I fell unconscious. But I don’t remember anything else. I don’t even remember my own name. Who knows?

“I’m just going for a walk in the woods mom. I’ll be back in few minutes. Okay?”

“Okay sweetie. Just remember one thing; you may feel alone and have no strength, but you do. It’s just in your heart.”

“What does that have to do with anything?”

“Oh, you might find out soon.”

Judy was an ordinary girl, but her life was about to change for the worse. She walked out of her family’s small cottage. It was located in Northern Minnesota, close to the borders of Canada. Her family had lived there for about six years. Her dad said he needed a “break” from the city life. Her family knew the land around them very well. Almost to well.

Crunch, crunch, crunch. The twigs that had fallen from the trees were breaking beneath her feet. It had been more than an hour since Judy had been home. She was getting worried. She couldn’t find her way out of the woods, and she was starting to get a feeling that she had went to deep in the woods. She stopped to find her compass. ‘Just my luck. I left my compass in my other jacket!’ she thought to herself. ‘If only I had read that book Ms. Johnson had given me on direction, I might know what to do.’ Her stomach gurgled. ‘Maybe if I go back in the direction I came, I might be able to get home for dinner.’

Judy knew she was lost, but tried not to think about it. She stood still for a moment to survey her surroundings. Crunch, creeek, crunch, creeeeek. Her heart pounded hard in her chest. She put her hand over her silver locket that contained a picture of her mother and father. “Mom? Dad? Is that you?” she asked. Nothing. ‘I’m just hearing things. Nothing to be afraid of.’ she thought. She took out her pocketknife just in case someone or something was lurking behind one of the trees. Crunch, crunch, crunch. She stopped to see if anything was following her. She heard an odd sliding sound behind her. “Whoever you are, show yourself!” she yelled remembering the line from an old black and white movie. Silence. Her heart pounding harder in her chest, she ran as fast as she could, not paying attention to which direction she ran, only if it were the opposite in which she heard the sounds.

THWACK! A branch hit Judy in the face. “OW!” she screamed in pain. Whooosh! Something brushed past her shoulder. She tried not to cry in terror. WHACK! Something hit her leg. Falling from the agony, her head hit a stone. Her leg was bleeding, but she didn’t seem to notice. She tried to see what was in front of her but everything was blurry to her. “It’s okay. You’ll be out of thisssss pain in a few minutessss.” She felt a sharp pain in her face. Her body became limp. Her eyes rolled back in her head. “The boss will be verrrrry pleased with you.”

“Needle?”

“Needle.”

“Poison?”

“Poi- wait what poison?”

“The poissson you fool! The one from the cobra, remember?”

“No.”

“Well you’ll remember very, very soon.”

“What do you mean I will remem-”

Thump. The body fell to the ground dead. “I told you you would remember. Mwahahahaha!” The man had a glare in his eye that would’ve made a baby cry.

“Huh? What happened?”

“Oh honey! Your back!”

“Mom? Is that really you?”

“Yes, of course it’s me! I was beginning to worry. Want a hug?”

“Sure.”

The floor in front of Judy was stretching further and further away from her mother that she adored. “MOM! COME BACK!” Judy flung her arms out in front of her trying as hard as she could to get back. Her eyes opened suddenly. The light that was being shone in her eyes blinded her.

“Whe- where am I?” she muttered.

“Oh, your at the err uh, doctors. Yessss, the doctors.”

“Oh okay. Do you know when I got here?”

“Jusssst a few minutes ago.”

“Why am I here?”

“You had a um minor fall and blow to the head.”

“That must be why my head hurts.”

“Yessssssssss. Exactly.”

“Well, when do I leave this place?”

“Nev- oh I mean soon, verrrrrrrry soon. You just need some brainwa- I mean surgery on your head and leg.”

“How long will it take?”

“As long as it takes you brat! Stop pestering me!”

“Fine be that way Mr. Moody!”

Judy had just come out of her unconsciousness and was feeling very odd. All she could remember was falling to the ground and somebody picking her up. The man in front of her looked like a doctor and a mad scientist. Would he hurt her? She didn’t know. She even forgot who she was. She had forgotten everything. Her close-knit family she once knew, she would probably never remember.

“Now close your eyes, and think of something happy. Okay? Can you do that?”

“No.”

WHAT! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS THINK OF SOMETHING!”

“WELL WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO THINK OF! EVER THOUGHT OF THAT!”

“Oh just close your eyes then.”

“Fine!”

“Now you might feel a slight pain in your neck. It’s normal, so don’t worry about it.”

Squirt. The liquid shot into her neck. “Now, we are going to put some poisssssssssson in your blood vein. Don’t worry about this part. You won’t feel it at all. Heh, you may not even wake up again you little twerp.” The needle came closer and closer to her neck. Suddenly, her eyes shot open.

“Oh don’t even try.”

“What? You’re supposed to be asleep!”

“Well apparently I’m not.”

“Well, you will be soon.” The man pulled out a test tube full of a clear yellow liquid. “Now, do you know what this is?” His eyes were gleaming.

Judy’s eyes bulged as she watched the man pull out a needle, fill it with the venom and gave it a hard flick, making the liquid inside swoosh around. But then, somebody knocked on the door of the metal house.

“AYE CARUMBA!” the man yelled. With a sharp pull of the door handle, he screamed, “WHAT DO YOU WANT! CAN’T YOU SEE I’M BUSY!?”

“Yesssssssssss. I see boss. But could you possibly tell me what to do with the other um,” he lowered his voice to a whisper, “bodies?”

“What other bodies?” Judy asked.

“OH NONE OF YOUR BEES WAX!” yelled the scientist. “Just burn them! The girl wouldn’t even remember them!”

“Remember who?”

“NOBODY!”

“Ok, sheesh don’t have to go all Mr. Commando freak on me.”

“Uh-oh boss. This won’t be good.”

“SHUT UP YOU DIMWIT!”

As the quarrel droned on, Judy took the chance to run. Since the outcome of the liquid seemed to be wearing off, she leaned on her elbow, trying as hard as she could to get up. Finally, after a moment of hardship, she got on her feet and tiptoed over to the door. Creeeeeeeek. It seemed like the men hadn’t noticed. Now running, she went straight to the woods. Her heart was pounding once more. Out of breath, she fell down. Cough cough. Getting back on her feet, she began running again. Suddenly, sunlight poured down on her like milk being poured into a cup. She saw her family’s cottage. “Home.” She whispered to herself.

She unlocked the door, but found nobody was home. “Hello? Anybody home? Jessie? Mom? Dad?” No answer. Judy wandered through the house wondering where everybody had gone. Finally, she opened her mom and dad’s room. Bones. The stench of blood filled the room. Tears began to roll down Judy’s eyes. She then knew what the man was talking about when he said the other bodies. He had been in her house and killed her family. The tears became bigger. Soon she was lying on the floor sobbing. ‘Why? Why had they done this?’ she thought. Her mother’s words bounced back in her mind. ‘You may feel alone and have no strength, but you do, it’s just in your heart.’ She stood up. She knew in her now that she would have to go on with her life. But how? She didn’t know where to go. She had no place to go. She walked out of her house feeling sad and lonely. ‘If only I hadn’t gone into the woods, they might still be here.’ She sat on the front porch. Thinking of her life before her family’s death, she started crying. And with that, she was never seen again…

…until a body shows up on the shores of Oceanside Beach…
